Sophos XG Firewall Log Export Guide

Follow these step-by-step instructions to export outbound connection logs from your Sophos XG Firewall appliances to run a local Shadow AI discovery audit.

Export Procedure

  1. Log in to the Sophos Firewall Admin panel.
  2. Open the Reports tab > select Log Viewer on the side menu.
  3. Set filter category selector to Web Filter or Application Filter.
  4. Configure the target duration calendar range.
  5. Click Export and select CSV Format.
  6. Save the spreadsheet report directly.

Required CSV Format

Our client-side parser reads logs mapped to these values. Column headers can be customized in the audit panel:

timestamp, source_ip, department (optional), destination_domain, bytes_sent
